Prefabricated Outhouses are popular purchases by the government and states.
Once a prefabricated outhouse is built, it must be loaded on a large truck for transport to its new home. Large cranes lift it onto the truck. The same cranes are sometimes used to lift yachts out of the water in the Fall. Ever wondered how they might load and transport a concrete outhouse?

These photo's were contributed by R. Walker and he works for CXT Incorporated located in Spokane, Washington in the precast engineering department. He recently visited my web site and felt that photos from CXT Incorporated may contribute to the variety of outhouses that we have on display. Their main customer is the U.S. Forest Service, although they do sell many concrete outhouses to private parties and contractors. They fabricate six different models of vault building and several different models of flush buildings. They currently produce 800 to 1000 buildings a year and have over 4000 buildings located in the field. Their buildings are made of precast reinforced concrete in a variety of textures, and come delivered to the job site 100% finished. They even come with the toilet paper. They currently have buildings located all over the U.S. including Florida, California, Alaska, and even Hawaii. Their web site can be found at www.cxtinc.com.

What else can you see in the images shown? Many times a photo is worth a thousand words and I've only elaborated with a few so here is your chance to add some "color commentary" to my collection. If your addition is worthy, you will find the quote added on the Comments to the Curator page. You can use Email to respond.
