This series of outhouse pictures were donated by M.A. Pike. I really appreciate all the participation by visitors to this web site. Here are the facts...
The cabin is located within a few hundred miles of Jackson, NH. It was built around 1923. This outhouse is called the "moon house" by the owners. It actually has electricity and running water. The power lines were run underground to preserve the ambiance. Unfortunately, you can't see the moon on the door but take my word for it; it's there.
Pictures 3 and 4 have arrows pointing to the outhouse hidden in the trees. Picture 5 shows the old outhouse that was replaced. The lighting for the night picture was moonlight.
The outhouse was designed by Stephen Wieder, a fine young contractor in Jackson, NH for the older Pike's shower and hot water and flush toilet loving kids. The cabin still has no electricity. They use gas lights and a gas refrigerator.

What else can you see in the images shown? Many times a photo is worth a thousand words and I've only elaborated with a few so why don't you add some "color commentary" to my collection. If your addition is worthy, you will find the quote added on the Comments to the Curator page.
